One of Pitt’s sweetest roles is that of an upside-down aging man. 2008 romantic drama, The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttonstarred Pitt as the titular Benjamin Button and Cate Blanchett as his star-crossed lover. The curious case is a heartbreaking tale of love and life, with the film receiving an impressive thirteen Oscars at the 81st ceremony, the most of any feature film that year. While it deviates from Pitt’s grittier action roles, it would be churlish not to include this touching film in this list.
